Dammit!

Jasmine has been recalled!

DS Arms has discovered a problem with the hardness of the aluminum that goes into the lower receiver.

That's kind of a big deal with an FAL, so it's going back to the factory to see if I have a bad one and if so; a new one will be swapped in and she will be returned.

I just don't want to be without her for the two weeks or so it will take.

    Could Be Worse, you could have bought a century and Mine's been at my buddy's shop for over a Month now. I should be collecting it when I go up to Maine the following weekend.

    True, but yours has that "angry beaver" cachet!

    What work are you having done? Getting the lower fixed so you can put a normal stock and grip on?

    Lower fixed and standard stock affixed, trigger job and it was short-stroking like a champ...Haven't gotten the full story but I think the piston tube wasn't properly staked.

    Oh well, live and learn. But yeah my FAL is an angry-beaver special. Thankfully it appears my competent gunsmith is doing a top-rate job un-fucking it.
