Gentleman Feminist

I believe, as a gentleman that a man should render assistance to a woman.

As a feminist, I believe that a woman is capable of helping herself.

Combined: I'll get that for you when you can't; when you can, I have your back.

  1. I keep that attitude about everyone, not just women.

  2. I'm not sure if it's pure chauvinism on my part, but a guy will have to ask for help unless it's painfully obvious he needs it. Offering unasked to a woman is being polite.

Actually, not asking a guy is the same polite. Guys tend to be a lot more prideful about the assist and have a need to go it alone even when they desperately need help.

The stereotypical example is asking for directions.
