OK, let me make sure I have this straight.
We're not voting our way out of this.
We're not shooting our way out of this.
That means there's no hope.
Explain to me, please, why we shouldn't just hoist that black flag, spit on our hands and start slitting throats?

I love Kristofferson's lyrics...but I've never come to terms with that one. I still see it as short-sighted and drug-addled.

Still nothing in society is uni-directional, things do get better, as well as get worse (hell just look at the ebb and flow of gun control as a single-issue)
Also Rome never actually FELL, its still there and its a healthy city (populated by Euro-commies... but that's another issue).
If people start slitting throats, I'll shoot the bastards, I ain't gonna be the bastards.
I'm gonna keep living my life the best I can and carrying on, and hope it doesn't come to all of that.
Maybe I'm an optimist, but I can't do it any other way.
