    Cracker is the Florida Cowboy. Florida cowboys pre-date the cowboys of western legend by probably a century. They get ther name because they use whips and crack them to drive the herd.
    Thus endeth the unwanted lesson. :D

      An alternate definition, because there's Georgia crackers too, is it's the crack of the overseer's whip on the slaves.
