Shifting East

Both the Euro and GFS models are shifting the hook North to the East.

The Euro has the track going up central Florida.

The GFS is saying Irma will follow the same track Matthew took.

This is better news for us on the Suncoast, mixed news for folks in Miami and environs.

GFS predictions from 0800 Sunday 10Sep17 to 0800 Monday 11Sep17

HWRF predictions from 0800 Sunday 10Sep17 to 0800 Monday 11Sep17

GEM predictions from 0800 Sunday 10Sep17 to 0800 Monday 11Sep17

  1. I am slightly optimistic. TS Jose is forecasted to do a sharp turn north Saturday, that would mean the High Pressure that is guiding Irma is weakening or there is a front pushing.
Hell, we may even end up getting the clean side.
I know my place can hold a Cat 3... been there with Wilma and an old roof that has been replaced.

OK, I am just blabbing and blogging in your comments.
Best of luck for all of us.
