Not Amphibious

The Lovely Harvey had an oopsie and spilled a cup of coffee all over her laptop!

It responded to this insult by shutting off.

We responded to this by panicking!

Thankfully, our friend, JT, is an expert hostage negotiator computer technician.

He's very familiar with the family of Lenovo Harvey wetted.

He instructed me to field strip it and douse it in electrical cleaner, which I have in abundance for cleaning sensors on The Precious!

Then let it dry for an hour.

I did that, reassembled and the machine attempted to revive, but started cycling through booting over and over.

Take it apart again, more electrical cleaner, run the hard drive through chkdsk on MY laptop to make sure it wasn't dead...

Wait another hour.

Reassemble.

This time it works!

Damn that was scary!  With all the other stuff coming due in the next month, the last thing we needed was to buy a replacement laptop.

THANKS JT!
