But you have to be 21 to buy a handgun and 18 to buy any other gun.
You can't get around the age minimums because all purchases have to go through a licensed dealer.
Handgun buyers need to pass a safety class.
California gun owners must register their handguns and so-called assault-weapons with the state.
It's illegal to have a firearm within 1,000' of a school boundary unless adhering to some very specific exception.
So, clearly this is fake news and the so-called shooter is innocent because it would have been impossible for him to break that many laws to get a gun and go to a school and shoot someone.
