I would expect a hover conversion would put you well into negative points with NCRS, since I know of no Chevy Corvette capable of any sort of flight at all*, let alone flight in hover mode. OTOH, I think that the sum of cool points and nerd points for such an awesome conversion (assuming it actually worked as advertised) would far outweigh the loss of NCRS points.... ;-)
*While this footnote also applies to Ford Mustangs, at least a Mustang owner who adds a hover mode to his ride can point to the North American P-51 Mustang as justification for a flight mode....

NCRS people don't get mods. They just don't. I once saw a 100 point NCRS '53 and I made the mistake of saying, "dude, what HAPPENED to your paint?!" Apparently, they didn't do such a great job with the glass or paint back then because they didn't know if the Vette could compete with the T-Bird or not.
