Understandable

Which is worse?

The world does not understand you and it never will.

OR

 The world understands you and always has.

OR

 The world understands you, always has; but you think that it doesn't and never will.

OR

 The world doesn't understand you, never will; but you think that it does and always has.

    The third statement is the worst.

    The first two statements have the possibility that one's perception matches reality. The third statement explicitly points out that one's perception does not match reality.
