The only complaints I ever hear about Savage rifles are from people who hate the aesthetics of the barrel nut on the 11x rifles, some people who say that some of Savages basic synthetic stocks look cheap and the same kind of people who bitch about the post-64 Winchester Model 70 because they hate anything that isn't completely controlled feed. To the latter I usually tell them to just go get a Mauser '98 already. Its the original and still the best controlled feed mechanism if you ask me...
