Screaming At The TV

I've been binge watching Sons of Anarchy.

The core membership are all convicted felons.

One of the plot points of one episode hinges around one of them having a 1911 registered to them.

In California.

I strongly suspect that Hollywood doesn't know that felons cannot register firearms in California and that felons cannot legally possess one.

In RealWorld® the cops would have had the membership back in prison on any one of several counts.  You can't even say that they're being too clever to be caught because they are constantly interacting with clean cops and openly violating the law.
