He's Ninety-Five For Christ's Sake

Are we really freaking out that the Queen of England's hubby is stepping down from public engagements?

He's 95 years old!

People a whole hell of a lot younger have stepped down from breathing, in both public and private settings.

We should be amazed he's alive and was still really active, not shocked he's stepping down.

Also, the goings on of the British Royal Family should have stopped mattering to Americans not employed by the State Department about, oh, 202 years ago...

    The only reason anyone pretty much anywhere cares about the royal family is Chuckles.

    Anything that hints at his taking the - even if it's only symbolic at this point - throne of england makes anyone with a functioning synapse twitch.
