Is This For A Handgun

Bought some .45 ACP from Wal Mart.

The person behind the counter wanted to know if this ammunition was for a handgun.

I was honest and admitted that it was, then needed to produce ID to prove I was older than 21.

Next time I'm saying, "No, it's for my submachine gun." just to see what they do.

    Drones and their programming... I have the feeling you do not look exuberantly youthful enough to be carded.
    Next time, send the missus. Women get a kick when they get asked if they are over 2.

      Yet they DID card me. Script says to get that ID and place it in front of their optic receptors, so they do.

      I'll bet that if I'd asked what year I was born he couldn't have answered correctly.

    Walmart ammunition is 'way overpriced IMO. If I was looking to top up my reserves (and I do need to) I'd hit a gun show, or go online. I'm also a little annoyed with Walmart, although I do still patronize the local one which was not at fault.

      I cannot afford to purchase ammo in the quantities to make buying online beat Waldog's prices. Once shipping is accounted for, I rarely save any money going online.

      Every local market is different and Wal Mart is competitive here. Plus they're open on Sundays. I can't say that about most of the local gun shops. The places that are open on Sunday are ranges, and they tend to want a premium on ammo (and guns!).
