Willard gave me this gem the other day.
The sole marking:
A distinct lack on the cross guard where markings belong.
The scabbard is loose as a promiscuous foreign prostitute of questionable moral fiber. The screws holding the grip scales are, in keeping with the stainless construction of the blade, bright stainless steel.
There's also one niggling little problem...
That's all the farther down it goes.
You need to get a carbine bayonet adapter. I have one of these: http://www.triple-r-products.com/product-comparisons.html.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it won't fix the quality problems. :)
I've a growing collection of M7 bayonets that don't have this quality problem. Click on the "blades" tag to get a gander.
DeleteThe problem isn't the barrel length.

The problem is the Chinese "craftsmen" did not bore out the hole in the crossguard enough.
The Triple-R adaptor extends the existing bayonet lug about 1.5" so that the crossguard hits the flash-hider instead of floating around the barrel on a 16" barrel.
Mine's a proper 14.5" barrel (with $200 sheet of paper to prove it) so no adaptor of any kind should be needed if the bayonet is made correctly.
