Despite the 5¢ bet now standing at $209,715.20 due to "double or nothin'" every time the sale at Palmetto State Armory is extended...
The sale continues.
I'm starting to think that despite it being listed as a "daily deal" $249.99 is now the new normal price for the M&P 9 Shield at PSA. A "daily" sale that lasts a month and a half is hardly a day event.
AIM is running close behind at $279.99.
What's also interesting is they are selling brand new guns and not overstock. The one I just got was made in March 2019. It's also still a total bargain at $300 in hand after shipping and FFL fees. Which explains why the LGS has seen a shed load of them.
ReplyDeleteThe date code on mine translated to March 1, 2019 for an order date of March 10.
DeleteThe rumor mill says that these are overstock though. The rumor goes that "someone" a "big distributor" ordered a ton of them from S&W expecting a really hot Clinton administration market. When that market didn't materialize, they delayed on S&W filling the order as long as they could then punted the guns to PSA and AIM (and others) at a deep discount.
I have exactly as much proof of this rumor as I do for Bigfoot. Zero.
In that case, these are an excellent buy and the supply won't last over the long term.
ReplyDeleteDon't technically need another one, and don't want to purchase the additional holster and mags either. Knowing I'll spend money on the additional gear might be the only thing holding me back, though.
