Of note: Glock has this listed on their web page as Law Enforcement Only.
Marv's reaction, "It lets you practice drawing without shooting yourself in the leg?"
All the range instructors at my academy had 'em. It let them demonstrate firearms manipulations without using a live gun. I always wondered (but none of the instructors would give me a straight answer) if you could take the slide/barrel assembly off of a glock 22 and put it on the red frame and then have a functional red glock 22.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: I hit the links, but still is unclear if it is, or isn't, functional/operational? Is it a "dummy" gun?
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've been able to find out, the frame is 100% functional and if you replace the slide you have a functioning gun.
DeleteThis has been around for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe red ones are the inert and the blue ones shoot Simunitions.
Thank you!
DeleteWe had a couple of the blue UTM ones come in last week. I meant to snag a photo but the manager insisted they get out most Ricky tick tick so we wouldn't start dueling with them.
