I endeavored to find out what, exactly, the Blue Label price would be.
This is from Shooter's World in Tampa. They mark-up $24.99 from the MAP Retail for guns on the shelf.
So, in theory, a Blue Label Gen 5 model 19 would be $404.99. If they actually had one in stock.
They've a store in Orlando too they claim has more in stock. It's very tempting.
I have until close of business Monday to make up my mind a search the couch cushions.
I thought about it too. But it's a GLOCK. After putting real sights on it and buying at least five magazines, I would still wind up buying and milling an 80% frame so I didn't hate the grip. And then it needs a holster, and possibly a striker control gadget. I don't want to go down that expensive rabbit hole.
ReplyDeleteI already own a Gen 2 model 17, so magazines aren't an issue.
DeleteGen 2's grips suit me. I want to try out the Gen 5 for a while.
Gen 4s are getting scare to order new.
ReplyDeleteI've spoken to two Blue Label dealers and they won't order a gun for me under the Veteran's program.
DeleteIn stock only.
I don't see such a limitation in the rules for the event from Glock. I did wait too long to really look into this to call Glock and ask.
Huh. Screw them. I dont keep any blue label guns in stock. They are all order only. They'll do it next year I bet. Get you a Gen 5 19
DeleteLooks about right. Last time I bought one in Louisiana, gen 3's and 4's were $389 base, but out the door with ameriglos and tax were 510ish.
