For just $14 I have ordered a Minolta MC/MD to EF-M adaptor mount.
This lets me get some use out of my mom's old lenses she left me when she willed me her cameras.
The 50mm f/2 primary lens is one I wanna play with for certain.
Reading reviews... It would appear that people don't know the terminology or that there's several series of lenses in question here.
I'm also wondering what the crop factor becomes when using such an adaptor.
Great minds and all that. I just ordered similar last Friday after doing a bunch of research.
ReplyDeleteI have half a dozen lenses from my old Minolta SRT101 film camera. Now plan to use them manually on the Sony Alpha 100 body (has the SLR mirror). Going to be interesting to see what quality image results.
So far have shied away from the Alpha E mirrorless. I bought an intermediate Sony that was mirrorless but did not use the lens family to experiment. Did not like the viewfinder display so gave it to oldest grandson.
Lemme see if I remember how this is supposed to go with cameras...
DeleteBecause you chose the "wrong" brand I must now insult and belittle your decision? I think that's right. :)
I'm curious to hear how your experiment comes out, I'd been reading that the adapters don't work near as well on DLSR's because the mirror box prevents getting the correct focal length from the sensor. But that might be because I was focusing (pun) on my specific situation.
