If a site you're reading never has anything good to say...
You're prolly wasting your time with them.
They're biased to see the world at its worst and will do everything they can to make you join them in their despair.
Don't.
There's being prepared for the worst and acknowledging it can happen.
Then there's dismissing any positive news out of a desperate hope that they get to be RIGHT!®™© this time (for sure). They're cheering on the bad news as hard as they can.
Yep. If someone can't say one nice thing or see something positive about even the end of the world, time to stop hanging around.
ReplyDeleteWent to Publix today on way home from da docs. Shelves mostly full, filling as I was walking through the store, except for... potatoes and sweet potatoes.
Why potatoes and sweet potatoes?
Well, seems people are really actually (gasp) trying to cook at home.
Waiting to see the sudden rise of home fires from bad cooking.
So even here in the Democratic People's Republic of Alachuastan, from it's capital, Gainesgrad, normality, or something approaching it, seems to be taking hold. Though old people are self quarantining or staying a decent distance away from each other, while the younger, socialist, hip crowd is still not getting the concept of personal space.
And... hahahahaha, Plugs Biden beat Commie Sanders like a rented mule. Looks like it will be Altzheimers McDementia vs the Trumpenator come this November...
Biden better choose wisely a VP candidate. Preferably one that won't cause his death, accidentally of course, within the first 24 hours of the inauguration if he actually manages to steal the presidency.
Hey Angus;
ReplyDeleteIt is gloom and doom, LOL. Seriously you are correct. the continual "sky is falling" routine does get old. I understand letting people know that bad things are afoot, however we as people are optimistic group and the continual naysayers gets trying.
Gloom and Doom is proper Engrish. Doubtlessly you've noticed I don't use that much around here.
