I can accept a forty year replacement schedule. After all, there are stories around of 1911 magazines that have sat, loaded, since WWII, that work just fine.
I haven't replaced any of the magazine springs for my competition guns in 20 years, and they work just fine.
Of course, just writing that means they will ALL fail next week, at a major match.

ReplyDeleteIf 40 years is the interval, any new springs I get will be lifetime guaranteed.
