The 3D printed Energa is getting ever more authentic with regards to assembly.
The warhead section is just too tippy to be made in one go. Breaking it into two sections (just like the real one) allows the widest part to be the base while printing.
Depending on what photo you find and which nationality the thing is, either of the two fuses is correct.
The pointy one is more common, though.

ReplyDeleteIsn't 3D printing wonderful? I mean, in some ways it's magic and in other ways it's just so much easier to toss a chunk on a lathe and get to hogging some metal or chunk of wood and use a file...
