Sadly, he's right. There's a lot of gun owners who don't get involved in politics, locally, statewide or on the national level.
Heck, just look at all the potential voting members in the NRA and then how many actually vote for the NRA board. Wayne LaPierre wouldn't have been able to live happily off the NRA for as long as he did if even 50% of the voting members actually voted.
