Apparently, Israel's entire battle plan with regards to Iran was leaked from the US.
I remember when leaking classified materials was a crime.
The problem I have about getting too upset about this is how often we used to catch Israel doing espionage here and against our interests. Look it up!
I generally support their right to exist and I don't think that Iran having the detailed plans will help them much.
It's like Mike Tyson walking up to you and saying, "I am going to hit you in the face with my right fist."
There's fuck all you can do about it unless you are a heavyweight boxer in your own right.
You can shoot Mike before he hits you.....
ReplyDeleteI read the Mike Tyson line and flashed to the movie Billy Jack.
ReplyDeleteOne of my dad's squadron mates almost ended up in military prison for 10 years because they found a corner of a document the guy was supposed to ensure was destroyed. Just the part with enough identifying numbers to connect to what it was, nothing about what the actual document was regarding. As it was, his career was toast.
ReplyDeleteThen again, it wouldn't be the first time that 'Top Secret' plans were leaked that were not real. So were they real plans or fake plans? And does Israel trust the current US military and executive office enough to actually give the US access to real plans? I wouldn't, considering how into Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran the current powers-tha-be are.
ReplyDeleteAnd one of the acknowledged successes of the Blitzkrieg in France was that some TS battle plans were lost and the Germans had a snit-fit, causing them to change and go through Belgium, which nobody expected.
The deeper question is "What else has the on-the-payroll Hamas agent at the Pentagon been shipping to Tehran?"
ReplyDeleteIsrael will take care of its own business, and Operation Mincemeat times the Canary Trap comes to mind in this instance.
