Um, I get most of those, but not-a-gamer curious: a 00-sided die...?
ReplyDeletePercentile dice. For rolling 1-100. One ten sided die for the tens place and one for the ones place. To keep the debate about which one is the tens place to a dull roar, the die makers started marking one of the pair 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 90 and 00. So a 00 and a 1 is 1. A 00 and a 0 is 100.
DeleteMy brain locked up and I had to redo that comment like four times! I preferred just rolling two ten-siders and declaring the leftmost die to be the tens.
