I mentioned that I hurt my back lifting the other day.
Today I go to put on my shoes and noticed that I didn't have to lift my leg with my hand, like I've been doing for a few months.
My left hip has been sore for a while and range of motion had been reduced at least as far as lifting my leg under its own power was concerned.
Now that I've hurt my back, my muscles can lift it again?
Another explanation is the elimination of fried food and polyunsaturated fat from my diet has reduced my girth a little bit and just enough to clear the hip problem.
I don't own a scale, so I can't check.
You might actually have, in hurting your back, broken loose something or unpinched a nerve bundle. It happens more than doctors say it does.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the reason you hurt your back was it was messed up in the first place. I know I've had days where having the dog jerk me and rapidly flex my spine takes the pain away. It's kind of like going to the chiropractor.
As to the scale, as long as you're under 300lbs, Publix has a nice free one. :)
I've been playing phone tag with the people who set up the out of VA system therapy to get some... therapy to address my gait and limp.
DeleteThe hip pain is certainly from walking funny, and the cane helped a ton with that; but had this odd feeling lifting my leg, like the pulling a rope and the pulley is set wrong.
Now the hip doesn't hurt and I can lift the leg fine.
Since I have to reschedule my normal doctor's appointment (which was cancelled for no given reason) I'll reiterate I want to be seen for my back tomorrow.
Polyunsaturated fats are inflammatory on their own. Just cutting them out can make the difference if it's really inflammation.
ReplyDeleteYou can fry foods in beef tallow if you'd like. Then you can test whether it's the fried food or the PUFAs (PolyUnsaturated Fatty Acids).
Funny how vegetable oils were supposed to be good for us, isn't it?
