Blogger keeps breaking the post picture by URL feature and I have now idea what could be the cause.
It's not because the URL is broken, because if you manually enter the html for the hot linked pic, it appears correctly.
It's their interface that's busted and keeps getting busted after they fix it.
Feedback has been sent to whomever keeps track of such things and it will prolly start working again tomorrow for a few weeks.
FWIW, it hasn't worked for me for maybe a month (who writes this kinda stuff down?). When it was working it was wonderful. Find an old picture to reuse, copy the URL when the picture is the only thing on that tab, paste it in the line on the "add from URL" screen and it was infinitely easier than trying to find a picture from an old post by just searching the old pictures.
ReplyDeleteBlogger must be run by a couple of undergrads in Bangalore that couldn't get an H1B visa.
When I get desperate, the Win7 and Firefox on extended support machine often still works without copy-pasting html.
DeleteUbuntu machines and Firefox, not so much. Sometimes Chromium will work from the Ubuntu machine when Firefox won't.
