Spelling

Nautical spelling tripped me again...

I couldn't remember how to spell gunwale to save my life just a moment ago.

Why?

'Cause it's pronounced "gunnel".

    That berthing compartment in the bow is a bitch to spell too.

    Also I think there are two accepted spellings, and none of them are folk'sill.
