I got yellow LED for the parking lights too.
It only takes a moment to change from stark functionality to whimsical fun.

An interesting hack idea would be to put in an RGB LED, mabe using something like an ESP8266 WiFi enabled microcontroller, then you could remotely control the color and brightness remotely.
