Wait What?

"The registered owner of the weapon was unable to be contacted..."

What registered owner?

Florida doesn't have gun registration.

Or does it?

That's worrisome every time the press makes mention of it.

  1. Yeah, seen the same comments over and over in the news and in shows. Love it. No gun registration, no firearms license, no permit to buy ammo, no need to safe-store (gun and ammo separated.)

We do need a CCW license if we want to CCW outside of the state.

We do need a very narrow set of conditions to allow us to open carry.

We have to play nice with federal rules, as stupid as they may be.

Other than that? Yeah... And our murder/death/kill rate is far lower than places that clamp down on the 2A like a stone crab on a dead sinker's fingers.

  2. I have a different question: registered owner of what weapon? I have to wonder if the article was written by an LLM, rather than the more common biological idiot.

  3. I find myself wondering if the references to registered owner of guns in this and other articles is normalcy bias of reporters from states that have registration, or if it is supposed to be part of a push to support national registration?
