Lego Space Nazis

I noticed, building the Death Star, that the Imperial military is amazingly egalitarian.

Two of the seven stormtroopers are women.  Only two of them are Caucasian.

The same sort of distribution goes with the Navy personnel too.

I giggle that Lego is going out the way to have diversity in the bad guys.

Diversity that isn't present in the good guys because the actors weren't.

    I'm confused. Weren't the storm troopers clones?

      Republic troopers were clones. With the destruction of Kaminoa and the cloning facilities, no more clones were made. By the time of "A New Hope" they were pretty much all gone and stormtroopers were recruited from the population at large.

      There was one clone seen in Return of the Jedi in the battle of Endor! Fans retconned Captian Rex from Clone Wars into the bearded, older Rebel soldier.
