Tonight, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM local time you are supposed to shut off everything to show your support for...

Bollocks to that!

I'm putting a space heater to blow on my air conditioner's thermostat with all the lights on and all four cars idling in the driveway. 

Duke Power sent me a thank-you card last year for my efforts!

    DANG! I won't be home tonight to light up my house like I usually do. That normally includes all the basement, closet, and attic lights.

    I'm used to doing that on Earf day (April 22) and I've never even heard of Earf Ower.

    Your goal should be to ensure your house should be visible from Proxima Centauri, the nearest star. And remember, Global Warming was chosen to start in 1850, which was the coldest year in the last 10,000 years. It was the end of the Little Ice Age.
