Educated Guess

I read this article and am immediately struck with a possible cause.

Almost all of the recalled foods are in sectors where the food is handled extensively by human hands and those hands are attached to "migrant" workers.

Also known as illegal aliens.

Hygiene is not the same with those south of the border as it is with us.

Can't even suggest that cleanliness standards aren't even being given lip service because the workers aren't from around here.

E-coli in lettuce?  Can't be from the workers shitting in the fields!

E-coli in hamburger?  Can't be from workers not washing their hands!

Can't suggest that the owners and operators of the places with the problem are complicit in the crime of illegally entering the country.

It makes one wonder why we have an FDA if they don't randomly and frequently inspect the places making our food.

Did they spend their entire budget on DEI and LGBT outreach?

  2. Funny that all the big food processors have shed employees who are citizens and yet still are able to run. Gee...

And all of this happened after Jan 20, 2021. Hmmmmm.

Am considering re-starting a practice of 70 years back, washing all produce and fruits with Water Jane (sodium hypoclorite solution) a practice used by the British in all those heathen lands they controlled back in the day. Yes,it was in use when I was a wee lad residing in a lesser developed part of the globe. All vegetables and fruit was washed with it then rinsed off with clean water.

  4. Workers aren't entirely to blame for poor hygene in the fields. Quite often they are not provided with adequate toilet and handwashing facilities and they're often paid in ways that incentify taking shortcuts on everything to increase work output. Of course the fact that they often come from countries where conditions like these are common probably doesn't help.
