I have a strong inclination to figure out the wiring and make me an stl file for the rest.

The only cupholders in my F150 are in the back of the middle seat. It's a single-cab pickup, so to carry three people, I have to put the middle seat up. Voila! no more cupholders. The dash has a recessed tray that's about 8" x 12" and 2" deep that does nothing but collect junk. I'm going to measure it tomorrow and print an insert with two circular openings for cups. 3-D printers and a little skill in TinkerCAD or a real CAD program have opened a world of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteIf its a production car you can get the wiring diagram and a whole lot more for a modest subscription fee at alldatadiy.com It's the same info that independent repair shops get at a 'per vehicle' price. $20 for month I think and $60 for a three year subscription. It's a complete repair manual.
ReplyDeleteI have the 3-volume ink on paper service manual for this car. One time price of $300 and it's paid for itself dozens of times already.
