Not saying it won't happen, but that article was from a year ago. Obama came out a month after that and said he wouldn't reinstate the ban.

I got all fired up when I saw this until I read the story and it all sounded so familiar. It was only then I checked the date.

It doesn't look like anybody besides Eric Holder thinks trying to bring back the AWB is a good idea. The NRA has a letter from 65 House Democrats promising to "actively oppose" that plan, and that's from before the election of Scott Brown.
I don't doubt that Obama continues to hate gun owners, but I take solace in the immortal words of a wiser leader than he: Oderint dum metuant (let them hate, so long as they fear).
