It's 4/10!
Bracing, don't you think?
Even though all the ammo shown is 2-1/2", both guns are chambered for 3" shells.
I am not saying anything in this picture is practical.
I am saying don't avoid things that delight you.
The KSG410 is kinda a pistol caliber carbine similar to .44 Magnum in performance... kinda, sorta.
The wee little slugs are 3d+1 pi+ out to 100/1,200.
.44 Magnum from this barrel length gets 4d+1 pi+ to 620/3,600. From a revolver, .44 does 3d+1 pi+ to 210/3,200. That's right, this shoulder fired gun is outranged by a handgun!
Light projectiles and moderate velocities do that.
Kel-Tec is releasing a new version of their KSG.
In .410!
Looks like we're getting a brace with the Judge in it!
$500 MSRP coming in July. Plenty of time to save.
Because I has very upset with Bill Ruger, both senior and junior, for a very long time I tended to avoid Ruger products.
That did not keep me from shooting rimfire!
The rifle is a 1938 made Remington 341A Sportsmaster that my grandfather on Mom's side bought new.
He was a hired farm-hand and got extra money shooting rats in corn cribs and silos in Missouri and Iowa. It's one of three guns he left me when he died.
The damn thing is still a tack driver and will shoot .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle.

I've talked about the Challenger recently, and I prefer it to the Ruger Standard by a wide margin.
But the Ruger Standard / Mark series is the gun to beat when you're making a .22 pistol, and the Colt was driven out of production by it! Several objectively better guns were, in fact.
Today is 10/22 with an extra 22 on the end.
So I am reusing an old picture of Harvey's 10/22 with an extra 22!
You DO have a Ruger .22 of some sort, don't you?
I think it's mandatory.
The XM177E2 clone is a genuine, registered short-barrel rifle.
The Model 15-3 has diamond magna grips to make it a clone of a period correct Model 15-2.
I have both of these guns because I'm a tactile type and became fascinated with them during my tenure a s a playtester for GURPS: SEALs in Vietnam.
Update: Bonus Pic!
EMF Hartford clone of a Winchester Model 1892 and a Taylor's Outlaw Legacy in .357 Magnum as befits a brace for The Lovely Harvey.
The lever wrap is a work in progress...
An impossible combination historically. The Winchester 1873 didn't get chambered for .45 Colt for a variety of reasons until very recently.
While both are models of 1873, the revolver is more appropriately from 1898 after being refurbished at Springfield National Armory.
1957 made Ruger Standard. Note, that's not Mark I or A100; neither was an official name for the first Ruger .22. Though it makes sense to call it a Mark I because it was refined and modified and introduced as the Ruger Mark II... then III then IV... The stocks are not stock, and were a pain to find because there's not a lot of support left for the old Standard, and starting with the A100 frame, the magazine follower button is on the other side making the wood incompatible.
1994 made Ruger 10/22 with factory Mannlicher style laminated stock. The stock is slowly turning yellow-green with age. It was nearly the color of the stainless when The Lovely Harvey bought it new.
Grampa's 1938 made Remington 341 Sportsmaster, I am the second owner. He was a farm-hand for many years and shooting rats in the grain bins brought a bonus to payday.
The Colt Challenger is a pawn-shop find that didn't have grips. I adapted some aftermarket Woodsman stocks.
Ruger Totally-Not-A-Deerslayer "carbine" and a S&W Model 29-3 4" bbl. With genuine S&W holster!
All .44 Magnum, all the time.
Ruger Blackhawk in .30 Carbine with an M1 Carbine out of Israel.
The M1 carbine isn't really a carbine because it's not the short version of a rifle.
Black and soulless!
Let's ignore your intentions with your choice of pistol, shall we?
Two guns chambered in .45 ACP which take 1911 magazines and aren't 1911's.
Marlin Model 45 "Camp Carbine" and HAFDASA Automatic Pistol or Ballerina Molester Ballesta-Molina.
You're going to be needing a Camp Carbine!
Marlin Model 9, aka "The Camp Carbine" and the S&W Model 59 it shares magazines with.
Willard and I are pooling our resources and we're going to assemble a series of pics of guns with a handgun and long-gun in the same caliber.
This is going to take a while.
We've got a "couple" of guns.
We've even got a couple of "which pistol?" moments.
