Undervalued And I Am Weak
Uberti clone of a Win '73. .45 Colt, 20" octagonal barrel.
1999 made from the date code. It was on consignment and priced to sell.
Just need a holster for the revolver, horse and tack and I am off to the range!

ReplyDeleteThe leather wrap on the lever suggests that was once owned by a S.A.S.S. member/shooter.
Optional pro tip from a multi-time world champion cowboy shooter, to use if you feel inclined:
Open the actions. Squirt in a suitable amount of mildly abrasive toothpaste, and close up.
Load with snap caps.
Watch a collection of your favorite westerns, war movies, etc.
Shoot all bad guys. Twice or more.
After a couple such movie marathons, clean out the actions, and lubricate normally per manufacturer's instructions.
The actions will be slick as a whistle, and smooth as glass.
Action work and slicking up being valued by shooters looking for any additional edge in speed they can get, the reason '92s are more prevalent, and much more desirable than '73s, is because from all accounts, gunsmiths doing any kind of work on both models hate the '73s with a passion, because they're a b*tch to work on.
As that's probably not anything you're worried about, enjoy your new toys.
Everyone who can should own a good set of cowboy guns.
I think that someone already did what you suggested.
DeleteThe FFL indicated hard times for the previous owner as the reason it was for sale.
What's the revolver?
