Poop

The tool I bought/rented from Autozone to remove the pilot bearing is merely an attachment for a slide hammer.

I don't have a slide hammer.

Dangit.

    Pack the input shaft hole with grease and find a wooden dowel same size as hole. Wrap base of dowel with rag and proceed to hammer dowel into the grease the dowel should pressurize the grease and hydraulically
    push the bearing out.If it is a bushing instead of bearing get a tap slightly larger than the hole and thread it in until the bushing is pulled out by bottoming the tap. Good luck! The grease method is messier but works on both bearings and bushings.

      I'll try to find the link to the forum post again, but I think I read that the grease method is not recommended on the LS3 for some reason.
