Ten Million

Sometime on the 20th this blog got to ten million views.

Wow. 

Almost 8 Million

 In March I said that I'd broken five million visitors.

It too me three years to go from three to five million and less than a year to add another three.

Thank you, dear readers, for stopping by and reading my humble ramblings.

May 2026 treat you better than 2025!

Five million visitors and bots have hit this blog since I moved over from LiveJournal.

Huzzah!

Three Million

Some time the day before yesterday this blog passed three million views!

Only took slightly less than 17 years to do it too!

Yay me!

Another /5 Anniversary

Today marks ten years on Blogger!

We blame Weer'd!  Weer'd who doesn't even really blog anymore while his wife tolerates his shameless flirting with Erin.  We listen to ACP, we know.  (GRIN)

He convinced me to come out into the wider world of blogging and grew my audience from friends and family to at least six more people.

Three of them even kept reading!

There've been ups and downs, of course, conflicts and reconciliations...

But I'm still having fun and trying to put at least three posts a day to practice this newspaper of my life thing.

Fifteen Years Of Blogging

Holy crap!

Today is fifteen years since I fired up my, now defunct, LiveJournal account.

Aunt The Bat paid for it and I was in a small pre-Facebook community with several of my friends.

I made a couple of extra friends from Oleg Volk's linking to other LJ people too (Waves at Weer'd!).

It's been a heck of a ride and there are SO many people who're no longer doing this any more who used to be an everyday visit.

Including a couple who've crossed into the void.

Seven Digit

Sometime today I passed a million views.

Wow.

Thanks to the Russians hitting Blogger but hard a few weeks ago; my lowly blog crossed a half million views!

Woot!

I noticed while cleaning out the sidebar the other day that I'm getting to be one of the old bloggers.

So many others have closed up shop.

I imagine Tam and I glaring across at table muttering, "You quit first!" "No, YOU quit first!" with our laptops open and beers half drunk as the last two gun bloggers standing.

I'm a bottom feeder compared to some, but I've outlasted some pretty big fish.  More than eleven years since I started my LiveJournal and almost six since I moved to Blogger.

Here I go!

This is me, abandoning my comfortable home on LiveJournal to expose my naked belly to the harsh reality of the world.

It's a bit daunting, since I know that Blogger gets a lot more traffic.

I'm going to have to learn to deal with trolls and idiots.

Hopefully I will not have to use the ban hammer or memory hole too often.

On This Day

This day marks the first post I made on my original blog.

I changed my mind about the content and deleted everything from here to September 2005.

I laboriously copy and pasted all most of my posts from there to this Blogspot some nine years later...
