Shocked! Shocked! I Say

An experimental all‑female nightclub concept made headlines this week after industry insiders revealed it shut its doors shortly after its first official night, with organizers blaming a complete lack of bottle purchases as the main reason for the abrupt closure. The venue, marketed as a space dedicated exclusively to women and designed to create a safer, inclusive nightlife environment, opened with much fanfare in a major city — but according to reports circulating on social platforms and nightlife forums, the night ended without a single champagne or bottle service sale, a revenue stream most clubs rely on to stay afloat.

Nightclubs often depend heavily on bottle service and high‑margin alcohol purchases to cover staffing, entertainment, rent, and overhead costs, so an evening with no bottle sales would put severe financial strain on any venue’s business model — especially one trying to establish itself in a competitive nightlife market where drink revenue typically accounts for a large share of profit. Industry observers have pointed out that even innovative or niche nightclub concepts can struggle to attract patrons willing to spend on premium services, particularly in an era when many young adults are cutting back on expensive nights out due to cost‑of‑living pressures and shifting entertainment preferences.

Despite this early setback, some nightlife analysts say the closure doesn’t reflect a lack of appetite for women‑centric spaces overall. Successful women‑only or women‑focused venues in other regions have shown that with the right location, pricing, and community support, specialized clubs can thrive and offer social alternatives free from typical nightclub pressures. The all‑female concept may still evolve — and perhaps resurface in new forms — as venues experiment with different ways to attract crowds and sustain business in a rapidly changing nightlife landscape.

First, my shocked face is shocked.

Second, "safer, inclusive nightlife environment," my chaffed hairy ass.

If you're excluding someone you're not being inclusive.

It's like saying a Klan meeting is creating a safer and more inclusive cross burning environment.

I seem to recall lawsuits about all men's country clubs.

But it's hilarious that these women went to an all women's nightclub and seemed to still expect men to buy them expensive drinks.

Dumbass Shitheel Was Involved

I finally got to the bottom of why The Lovely Harvey refuses to make a character and play in our reindeer games GURPS.

I knew she'd had a bad experience with Dumbass Shitheel and a little throw-away fantasy world I'd made for them to play in and for her to learn how to game.

But I'd no idea how bad.

She'd known Dumbass years longer than I had and he'd not only left her hanging, he actively led to her character getting killed.

That was in game.

The way he treated her about it out of game made her say, "I'm never going to do this again!"

Worse, his treatment of her was reinforced by, some, of the people at my table when she hung around an kibitzed when we visited Iowa and from how some of her questions were answered at my 30th birthday party gaming session.

I think I know which people too.

I don't think they're still in FuzzyGeff's group any more.

Hazing and chauvinism are not good ways to get women involved in the hobby, gentlemen.

She got the impression that she was thought to be stupid because she didn't know everything we knew about gaming.

How could a beginner?

She's definitely not stupid.

She was just never given a fair chance at learning the game and then was treated poorly by some people AND overhear them being chauvinistic sexist pricks while I was doing GM stuff.

In a lot of ways I am happy that I lost contact with a few of them.  Might lead to me getting a sore throat from the screaming I wanna do at them.

My Wallet My Choice

When women have 100% the choice about whether they get or stay pregnant, they don't get to claim any right to the father's money.

Their body, their choice.

They choose poorly, to Hell with them!

Enshrined in law is:

Both parents don't want a kid, kid can be aborted or given up for adoption.

Both parents want a kid, no problem, they get down to the job of being parents.

Mom doesn't want a kid, Dad does.  Mom can get an abortion or give the kid up for adoption without any recourse for Dad.

Dad doesn't want a kid, Mom does.  Mom carries to term and gets The State to take money away from him.  Again, Dad has little to no recourse if his genes match the kid's.

Since Mom gets to make the decision about having a kid, I don't see how any father is responsible unless he volunteers for the job.

No rights = No responsibilities.

Worse, Mom can completely eliminate Dad from the raising of the children while simultaneously demanding child support.  He gets no visitation, no say in how they are raised or educated.  He's just financially responsible.

So, girls, if you want men to assume duties, you have to give them rights.

It should be our bodies, our choices.

And, although it's a staid position, maybe consider aspirin held between the knees for birth control until you're in a loving, lasting relationship where the kids will have two parents who agree on it.

PS: Before you comment, this is not the place to have a debate about the morality of abortion.  If you try, your comment gets deleted and I will call you a mouthbreathing Walz.

Uh...

There's a thread on Arfcom asking what gun for a female.

I posted a pic of The Lovely Harvey's Kevina.

Seen here with Brenda...

My logic for getting Harvey semi-auto pistols and AR's was that we teach every know-nothin' 'cruit how to use an M16 or M4 and many how to use a pistol.

There's no damned reason that a "female" cannot learn to use any particular gun.

It's sexist to assume otherwise.

Bitching About A Manicure

I am officially old, because I am now old enough to remember when a general had to, at least, be an adult.

I'm not saying that we should never have opened up command ranks to women, but I do note that the present bullshit with that reserve 2-star would be impossible prior to said opening.

I even said it while I was in.

If women want equality, why all the special rules?

Lower standards for PT.

Completely different standards for grooming.

Able to get a medical discharge under honorable conditions for a self-inflicted condition.  <-- Look that one up!

Not required to register for or be subject to the draft.

They never wanted equality, and they sure get mad when you point it out.

By the way, many of the requirements loosened for women were established by lessons learned in blood.  This standard or people will die is why they were put at the male levels.

It's Because You're A Misogynist

If you can't fathom that there are sound reasons for a woman to be the bread winner and the man to stay at home; you're a misogynist.

A sexist.

Worthless.

27 November 2019

You Know What?

Fuck you!

Every time I read about what a misogynist I am, on the basis of being male and white, I cannot but think, "that's incredibly sexist and racist."

I am a stay at home father.

I am not the biological father of my son.

My mentally disabled son.

Would the women who condemn me adopt another woman's child as their own if they were so disabled?

I have news for them that claims they would, it's even rarer than a man stepping up.  People with children like The Boy are a community.  We don't see many adoptions.  We don't see any women adopting.  We do see a lot of single parents, mostly single moms, because the other parent bails on "that thing" they created.

Because I'm the stay-at-home parent, I cook, I clean, I do the dishes.

I make lunches.

I pick him up from school.

I do the meetings with his teachers.

I take him to his doctor's appointments.

But I am a misogynist?

For encouraging my wife to work?  To make the normal "male" sacrifices to get the promotions and advance in her career?

Fuck you, feminists!

What you seem to forget, and my situation puts lie to, is a misogynist society wouldn't allow The Lovely Harvey to be successful enough to be the primary and only breadwinner in our home.

Sexism

I wonder what feminists would do with the Aslan?

The race has significant sexual dymorphism and a culture that accounts for and embraces it.

They have cultural "women's work".  Like commerce, finance and technical roles.

They have a cultural mechanism for a female to become legally male, and yes that's important!

To quote GT: Alien Races 2,

Gender is much more important in defining Aslan behavior than it is for Humans.

Male Aslan are warriors, concerned with owning land, and the combat and political skills needed to get it and keep it. Those of high status already own land, and are obsessed with gaining more; those of low status scheme constantly to acquire their own land.

Female Aslan are concerned with trade and knowledge; they are engineers, technicians, traders, teachers, scholars, and managers. A common female goal is to amass enough money to marry well – a large fortune both gives her the wherewithal to support a high-status male and demonstrates her capability to run his estate.

I think that an SJW Feminist would find themselves on the wrong side of Fteir in short order.

Both sexes have a role in Aslan society and are considered complimentary and necessary.

A Small Difference

What's the difference between Viagra and The Pill?

Men pay out of their own pockets for Viagra.

I've yet to see a rally with a bunch of guys demanding free access to boner pills.

I have seen a rally with a bunch of women demanding free access to contraceptive pills.

I assume it's sexist to have noticed that.

A Complete Listing

What follows is a complete listing of things which do not offend feminists.

Hate Crime

When we get corresponding Love Crime sentence reductions, I'll think about hate crime sentence enhancement being valid.

For fuck's sake, nobody is going to do anything covered by hate-crime statutes because they like someone much.  I reject the concept that making something that's illegal MORE illegal has any deterrence value at all.

Adding the cops to the list of protected species covered by those statutes is a bad plan on top of the hate-crime bad idea.

The list of things that cops and ex-cops get that we normal folk don't is already rather large.  It's also been a wedge issue for people like me who want to see many fewer differences between cops and everyday citizens.

The thing that the cops have over normal folks is cop shootings don't go unsolved.  Ever.

As I mentioned before, there really aren't a lot of cops getting shot.  Yes, there's a spike, but it's far too soon to call it a trend.  It is not yet time to DO SOMETHING with the concurrent THIS is SOMETHING - we MUST do THIS!

Never mind that if it is a trend, if it's caused by what it appears to be caused by, making the shooting more illegaler isn't going to slow it down even a whit.  Nor will banning guns.

If you really want to talk about hate legislation, let's not make the definitions of bigotry subjective.

It doesn't matter what the race of someone is if they hate another race.

It doesn't matter what the sex of someone is if they hate another sex.

It doesn't matter what the sexual orientation of someone is if they hate another sexual orientation.

Yes, that means that black people will be called out on their racism, women will be called out on sexism, and homosexuals will be called out on hetrophobia.

They're currently protected classes and have a safe haven to hate from.  Especially galling for women, because they are not a minority group.

A safe haven to hate from isn't something I imagine the police wanting or needing.

I know, I'm some kind of racist misogynist homophobe for thinking that equal means equal and that everyone should have the exact same rights as anyone else.  Silly me.
