For Fuck's Sake

Let's worry about tattoos as if they haven't been around for centuries!

If tattoos were a significant health risk, we'd have seen significant numbers of people being unhealthy from them over the entirety of human history.

Tattoos predate history.

I have a lot of old friends who've passed on, both with and without ink who died of similar things.

You know, typical old age things.

But, I guess we gotta worry about everything now.

Halloween Is Our Christmas

Harvey and I got matching tats to express our love for Halloween.

Kim DuToit most affected.

I'd Say It Worked

"I'm a 38-year-old single man. There's this very pretty, very nice female trainer I see at my gym. I'd ask her out except that she has a huge tattoo of a diamond on her neck. Ugh. Total deal breaker. If it were a hidden tattoo (leg, hip, etc.), I'd deal. But I just can't imagine myself or any guy bringing a girl with a huge neck tat home to meet the parents. Why would a woman do this?"

Why would she do this?

To make guys like you pass her by is the obvious answer.

Don't think about it too hard, you'll just end up crying.

National Tattoo Day

Short of LGBT rights and abortion, I've found no topic quite as polarizing as tattoos.

There's even slurs for each camp!

As a dirty inky, I celebrate today.

Self Medication

Did you know that getting a tattoo releases endorphins?

Did you know that when you're cruising on an endorphin high your crippled legs don't hurt?

Plus, you're allowed to drive home afterwards.

You can even show your tats to the cops!

What You Wear

I just had a humorous realization.

One of the debates we'd often have over the gaming table was about whether we'd get cyberwear to replace perfectly healthy tissue.

In most cases, the cybernetic parts are a serious upgrade, so why wouldn't you?

Well except that it squicks me out to hack off a perfectly good part.  Probably related to doing all that hot-rodding and how fixing things that aren't broken often leads to disasters.

On the other hand, I'm all inked up and have a couple piercings.

FuzzyGeff, on the "upgrades are good" side of the debate, has no negative visceral response to lopping off an arm for an improved model.

Not one tattoo.

Isn't it odd who went for the body-mods and who didn't?

Critical Success

Got the final touch-up done to the dice.

Something

Question the commitment of someone who can't make an irrevocable decision.

Get inked!

Crit Success Up My Sleeve

I said I was gonna, so I did.

Take that Mr DuToit!

DOUBLE UPDATE:

Zack at Addictive Art is who did my tat.

By the way, Quinn from Vintage Ink:  Yes, I stopped in a got a quote from you.  You might notice that I didn't put down a deposit?  Well, you never got back to me on two other tattoos, did you?

Also, when someone with misophonia asks you, "please don't chew gum," don't go over to the gumball machine and load up then chew your cud while asking questions.  I asked you not to, you asked why, I explained, THEN YOU IGNORED THE REQUEST.  You can't listen to a simple request like that from a customer, why should I trust you to do what I want with regards to something permanent?

Crit Up My Sleeve

I am thinking the angle is as important as the count of the pips.

I think I like it more from the top.

Than from a lower angle.

4 is still a crit!

Tat Concept

Here's what I was thinking of...

It's a bit of a double meaning...

Rolling a 3 is a critical success in GURPS.

Facing the viewer is 2-2-3...  One of my favorite calibers.  Can't do 277 or 308 with six siders...

Need New Ink

Because I am a homemaker, I just realized that I can just get all tatted up!

I think three six siders adding up to three on the inside of my right wrist is appropriate for a rabid GURPS GM.
