Yep. Also note that giving your wallet, watch, car, or other item to a robber, you now have a robber with your wallet, watch, car, ect. You are now in a WORSE situation than when you started.
Better to shoot him, and KEEP your items, and simply eliminate the robber from the equation. Its the only logical thing to do!
