While there was doubts about my mental faculty, I abstained from carrying.
It took some getting used to.
Conceal carry is a lifestyle change and I'd made that change.
But... I sure didn't want impaired judgement causing me to do something stupid.
Now I know I need to keep my nutrition going.
A very good friend was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago. He quickly decided his guns needed to go. I helped him sell those guns after he tried to just give them to me. We donated a O/U to a group who help disabled shoot and hunt. One went to a grandpa looking for a .22 bolt to teach his grandkids with. Another grandpa bought a Savage Fox S/S 20 ga for a Christmas gift to a grandson. Another young man bought an older 12 SXS that he had always wanted to own. Theses were quality older firearms that Brian wanted go to people who would love them as he had. By the looks on the peoples faces we did pretty good at that but it broke my heart to see the look on Brian's face when he had to give them up.
