The Iowa Air National Guard once did an air show at Des Moines International Airport.
Highlights included the IANG's A-7D's doing the entire Thunderbirds display as an opener (with the Thunderbirds as closers) and a "fuck-it-I'm-retiring-what-are-they-going-to-do-to-me?" mach one pass by a B-1B.
There has not been an air show at this location since.
