Totally Normal

Got the tacos tonight that I wanted to get a couple of weeks ago when my tooth broke.

The permanent crown is acting just like a normal tooth!

I was entirely too worried about that because the temp crown never did stop being tender.

I had a different scare right before I left to get Taco Bell.

One of the upper molars had that rough edge like the broken tooth had.

I grabbed my little mirror and shined some light on it and...

A tiny piece of a Frito was caught in there.

Makes sense, I'd just had Fritos with my lunch.

A couple seconds with a toothpick and all was, once again, well.

Scary though.

Crowns aren't cheap, even with insurance.

  1. The cost of health and dental care in this country is beyond outrageous.

I'll be honest, I'll take universal heath/dental care because then at least I'm getting benefit from my tax dollars. I think Europe and the rest of the western world got that one right.

but if you hate the idea of socialized medicine, look into what Switzerland did: universal healthcare via the free market, and it costs far less than what we pay. No one can accuse the Swiss of being socialists. We should at least look into doing something like that over here.
