Revamping my GURPS 4e conversion.
To get the alternate history depicted in the original game we need the Soviet Union to hang in there long enough to have a war with China in the early 90's.
I figure that electing Dukakis in '88 instead of Bush encourages Moscow to hang in there and keeps us out of the Gulf War.
I don't see Mike being a two term president, and wonder if electing Pat Robertson in '92 puts us well on our way to the war depicted since he'd be conservative enough to encourage the New America people and domestically focused enough to have the neglected military shown in T2K.
It's definitely a "road not travelled" kind of alt, but...
