Families can be a weird thing. Mine has it's own albitross. That being my ne-er-do-well brother. My mother has a protective order against him. He doesn't talk to me, because he doesn't want to hear what I have to say. He's been recently ruled incompetent to stand trial so he's going to spend a little psych time before heading back to court to probably pick up a couple more convictions (pretty much open and shut cases). So, disfunction sadly is maybe more common than not.
