Worth It

Progressing through Andor's two seasons then Rogue One is well worth the time.

It's the only Star Wars that acknowledges that the people who were there, in the theater, in 1977 are no longer nine year olds.

  1. I'm only up to episode 4 of season 2, but I noticed another thing different about Andor. Not a single light saber. Not that there's no fighting and killing, "empire: bad, rebels:good" as the main storyline, but no magic, yet. A positive thing that just went by was when the "imperial scum" tried to rape Cassian's girlfriend, she killed his ass. So far, nobody's trying to get rid of her because of that, meaning self-defense is considered acceptable.

  2. When the first Star Wars came out, I was a teenager.

    1. Sigh. How do you say you don't follow Star Wars gossip without saying, "I don't follow Star Wars gossip."?

Lucas, answering to criticisms over the prequels, repeatedly stated that the intended audience was 9-year olds. Completely dismissing the fact that those 9-year olds were thirty-somethings when The Phantom Menace came out.

So the "no longer 9 years old" isn't a challenge to your age, but a reference to George Lucas missing that Star Wars fans had grown up.

    2. I have friends that were born after Star Wars. And some of them have already died from natural causes.

You really start feeling old when people younger than you die from natural causes. And especially knowing how borked your own body is.
