Blame the Jews?
I guess it's their "fault" they decided to fight back and evoke the ghost of Curtis LeMay.
But, really, it's a fine example of FAFO.
Now that they've found out, all they need to do to stop the "slaughter" is to surrender. You lose a lot of right to demand the war stop without surrendering when you started it.
You want me to be mad about them finding out, just have Mr Leon Klinghoffer say I should.
I never understood the "The Jews caused the (insert group here) to punch them in the face" people.
ReplyDeleteHamas and Hezbollah deserve what they've been getting for the last two years.
From where I'm standing, Israel has been rather very laid back. Seriously, Israel could have prosecuted the war much more ferociously and really stacked up the bodies.
Two things keep hitting the Jews, historically, that leads to them getting persecuted and blamed.
DeleteThe first is they self "other" making them easy to dehumanize. The second is their self-contained way of life works. When "the other" is successful when you're failing, you blame "the other." It's simple group psychology. No group is particularly good at accepting that they are to blame for their own problems. Damn few individuals too.
Then you add the grudge that Islam has been nursing since Judaism rejected Muhammad.
If I was in charge in Israel, I'd order air strikes to level anything still standing over 6' tall in Gaza and then napalm the entire area. Once it stopped smoldering I'd send in tanks and bulldozers to fill in all the holes and craters and scrape all the remaining rubble into the sea.

If it weren't for the cowards taking hostages, I think Israel would have gone scorched earth.
DeletePeople hating on Israel in this are completely glossing over the double violation of the Geneva and Hague Conventions in attacking civilians and taking hostages.
Doing that gets you summary execution in the rules of war I trained with. That the IDF isn't doing that to Hamas speaks to their restraint.
Intentional execution of civilians including elderly, women, children even infants and taking such as hostages means you are NOT the "good guys". People who support Hamas or the Palestinians as a whole (because they overwhelmingly support Hamas and in general it's tactics) are supporting the evil side. There is a reason none of the Muslim majority countries will accept Palestinians. Especially because in the past when they were taken in as refugees they tried to overthrow the legitimate governments of their host countries. The arabic countries do love to use the Palestinians as an excuse to hate the Jews though. But in that they are merely pawns.
