Since we understand the meaning of the 2nd better than the lawyers, who are victims of their predecessor's in the profession redefining things, we know that arms means everything.
DeleteIt has to encompass cannon, because Congress can issue letters of marque and reprisal. You cannot be a privateer with an unarmed ship. <- LOOK! A derivative of the word arms.
But lawyers like Mark Smith keep beating the idea that it only applies to man-portable weapons.
I think I'm gonna get a whole post out of this.
