Kaylee Restored

The CORE-15 barrel nut went on in a textbook manner.

It stopped at the same halfway to a slot place but took much less torque to get it to line up.  I suspect the J&T nut might have bottomed out a bit.

Dialing the BUIS to line up with the Aimpoint gives a far more centered position for the windage on the rear sight.

Happy day!

I recall you looking for one to make into a shorter barrel.

  2. I almost said, "but it has 1/2-36 muzzle threads and I prefer 5/8-24"... Then I realized that if I cut it down to 11.5" that I can put just about any thread I want there.

Probably wont be getting it soon, but it's nice to see where I can find one. It just sucks that nobody makes what I want out of the box. Shortening the barrel makes it cost more.
